چکیده
Abstract Background Medial patellofemoral ligament reconstruction (MPFLR) is a well-established procedure for addressing recurrent patellar dislocation (RPD) in young patients. However, despite being promising RPD with genu valgum, there scarcity of reports on simultaneous MPFLR and closing-wedge distal femoral osteotomy (CWDFO). The purpose the present study was to observe analyse clinical imaging findings CWDFO combined valgum. Methods From May 2015 April 2018, 25 patients valgum were surgically treated our department. Anteroposterior long-leg, weight-bearing, lower-extremity radiographs, lateral radiographs computed tomography (CT) scans joint obtained, anatomical femorotibial angle (aFTA), mechanical (mLDFA), weight-bearing line rate (WBLR), height, shift (PLS) tibial tubercle–trochlear groove (TT-TG) distance analysed. Validated knee scores, such as Kujala, Lysholm, visual analogue scale (VAS) scores Tegner socres, evaluated preoperatively 2 years postoperatively. Results patients, an average age 19.8 (14–27), evaluated. During 2-year follow-up period, all able achieve better sports level without any problems, no recurrence instability. Compared preoperation, aFTA, mLDFA, WBLR PLS showed statistically significant improvement following (p < 0.001). Meanwhile, differences Insall index TT-TG found. mean Kujala score, Lysholm VAS score socres postoperative improvement. Conclusions suitable treatment can lead short term.

Medial Closing-Wedge Distal Femoral Osteotomy with Medial Patellofemoral Ligament Imbrication for Genu Valgum with Lateral Patellar Instability
A varus-producing distal femoral osteotomy (DFO) is an effective technique for the treatment of lateral patellar instability (LPI) in patients with concomitant moderate to severe valgus malalignment. Patellar maltracking and subluxation are corrected via neutralization of some of the laterally directed forces on the patella due to the valgus deformity. This can be accomplished with a distal fem...
متن کاملA Combined Closing Wedge Distal Femoral Osteotomy and Medial Reefing Procedure for Recurrent Patellar Dislocation with Genu Valgum
PURPOSE Recurrent patellar dislocation is often associated with genu valgum. The purpose of this study was to analyze the short-term results of single-incision, closing-wedge distal femoral osteotomy (CWDFO) combined with medial reefing and lateral release for recurrent patellar instability with genu valgum. MATERIALS AND METHODS Combined CWDFO/medial reefing/lateral release was performed on ...
متن کاملPosttraumatic chronic patellar dislocation treated by distal femoral osteotomy and medial patellofemoral ligament reconstruction.
Chronic patellar dislocation is a rare condition where the patella remains dislocated throughout knee range of motion during flexion and extension. In adults, the delayed presentation of this condition is often due to symptoms caused by the onset of severe secondary osteoarthritis. To the authors' knowledge, all of the cases reported in the literature have been treated by patellofemoral or tota...
متن کاملMedial Patellofemoral Ligament Reconstruction for Patellar Dislocation
Results: Twenty-two studies were included: 2 randomized controlled trials, 3 parallel case series, and 17 case series. There were a total of 655 knees in the review, with an age range at time of surgery from 11 to 52 years. The pooled postoperative redislocation rate from all 17 case series showed a mean of 2.44%. The pooled preoperative Kujala scores from 12 case series showed a mean of 51.6 (...
متن کاملMedial Patellofemoral Ligament Reconstruction to Treat Recurrent Patellar Dislocation
OBJECTIVE To present a new technique for reconstruction of the medial patellofemoral ligament (MPFL) in patients with recurrent patellar dislocation and to evaluate the clinical findings from this. METHODS Between January 2007 and January 2008, 23 patients underwent reconstruction of the MPFL with a free graft from the semitendinosus tendon. After a minimum of 24 months of follow-up, 22 patie...
